Baton Rouge is not one floor plan. We quote the openings on your house — doors, windows, patio glass — then add cameras if you want them.
Cottages and shotguns
Garden District, Spanish Town, Mid City, Beauregard Town. Narrow lots, many windows, a porch that collects packages. We count openings. Historic facades do not block indoor sensors.
Raised houses
Piers, a crawl space, stairs to the porch. College Town and flood-aware rebuilds. Water sensors downstairs or at the water heater are a common add after 2016. Cellular backup for storm nights.
Brick ranches and 70817 two-stories
Broadmoor, Sherwood Forest, Shenandoah, Old Jefferson. Leftover keypads on resales. Photograph yours. Patio sliders and garage doors are the openings people forget to mention.
New plats in Zachary, Central, Prairieville
Builder leftover keypads are not ADT monitoring. They die with the Wi-Fi. Call to order a professionally installed system. HOA camera rules are common — bring them.
Gated Highland Road lots
University Club, Country Club of Louisiana, Oak Hills Place. A gate is not 24/7 monitoring. Indoor sensors still protect the house. Complete with cameras if you want the driveway.
Livingston and west-bank ranches
Denham Springs, Walker, Port Allen, Brusly, Addis. Carports hold generators before a storm. Cameras help. Parish paperwork is not the East Baton Rouge $25 form.
